Meishi NFC Meishi Business Cards — NFC Meishi That Respect Japanese Exchange Etiquette
Meishi NFC Meishi Business Cards from Lets Connect. Traditional meishi exchange (meishi koukan) is core to Japanese business — the printed face and the two-handed presentation carry as much meaning as the details on the card. Our NFC meishi keep the printed face and the ritual, then add an NFC tap-to-share layer on the reverse. Delivery within Japan in 4–7 business days, from ¥4,800. Prices shown in JPY (¥), inclusive of consumption tax. Card and konbini payment accepted.
How meishi etiquette fits with NFC
Meishi are presented with both hands, name-side up and facing the recipient. They are received with both hands, read carefully, placed on the table (not the pocket) during the meeting, and stored respectfully afterwards. None of this changes with an NFC meishi — the front is still a properly typeset printed meishi, the NFC chip sits invisibly inside the substrate, and the printed QR is on the reverse.
Design conventions we support
- Dual-language layouts — Japanese on the front, English on the reverse, or vice versa.
- Vertical (縦書き) and horizontal (横書き) typesetting.
- Correct company hierarchy (会社名, 部署, 役職, 氏名, ふりがな) on the printed face.
- Optional company logo, MyNumber-free contact block, official seal placement.
- Standard 91 × 55 mm Japanese card size (slightly larger than the international 85 × 54 mm).
Why add NFC to a traditional meishi
The physical card stays exactly as etiquette expects. What NFC adds is a way for the recipient — often working across borders — to save your details, LINE ID, WhatsApp and website in one tap. It also avoids the follow-up problem of a recipient scanning a pile of meishi with a business-card reader app after the meeting.

Frequently asked questions
- Are NFC meishi seen as acceptable in traditional Japanese business settings?
- Yes, provided the printed face still follows convention. Our NFC meishi look and feel like proper meishi in a two-handed exchange; the NFC chip is invisible until the recipient chooses to tap.
- Can you typeset in vertical Japanese (縦書き)?
- Yes. Both vertical and horizontal typesetting are supported, with correct hierarchy for 会社名, 部署, 役職 and 氏名.
- Do you print at the standard 91 × 55 mm Japanese size?
- Yes. NFC meishi ship at 91 × 55 mm by default; the international 85 × 54 mm is available on request for professionals who need to fit an international wallet.
- Is delivery inside Japan priced in JPY (¥)?
- Yes — every order is priced, charged and invoiced in JPY (¥), with tracked delivery inside Japan in 4–7 business days.
- Can the NFC chip point at a LINE profile?
- Yes. The chip can point at any URL — a LINE add-friend link, WhatsApp, your Lets Connect profile, a wallet pass or your own site — and you can change the destination from the dashboard.
